FACT ABOUT HEPATITIS
HEPATITIS refers to an inflammatory condition of the liver. It's commonly caused by a viral infection, but there are other possible causes of hepatitis. These include autoimmune hepatitis and hepatitis that occurs as a secondary result of medications, drugs, toxins, and alcohol.
There are different types of hepatitis but in this article the most common of them are explained.
MOST COMMON TYPE OF HEPATITIS
1) HEPATITIS B : is a virus found in infected blood, semen (cum) and vaginal fluids. It's a sexually transmitted infection (STI) that can be passed on through unprotected sex. You can also get it from contaminated needles and syringes
HOW TO PREVENT HEPATITIS B.
Hepatitis B is a liver infection caused by a virus (called the hepatitis B virus, or HBV). It can be serious and there's no cure, but the good news is it's easy to prevent. You can protect yourself by getting the hepatitis B vaccine and having safer sex.
MOST WAYS TO BE INFECTED WITH HEPATITIS B
1) Sex, if you have sex with some one who's infected and their body fluids enter your body you will be infected.
2) Another way is through intravenous (IV) drug use, sharing needles, drug equipment with some one who is affected.
3) The most common way is from mother to child, women with hepatitis B can pass it to their babies during child birth. Research has it that this is the way that many people get hepatitis B.
The hepatitis B virus can survive outside the body for at least 7 days. During this time, the virus can still cause infection if it enters the body of a person who is not protected by the vaccine. The incubation period of the hepatitis B virus is 75 days on average, but can vary from 30 to 180 days. The virus may be detected within 30 to 60 days after infection and can persist and develop into chronic hepatitis B.

1) Blood tests: Blood tests can detect signs of the hepatitis B virus in your body and tell your doctor whether it's acute or chronic. ...
2) Liver ultrasound: A special ultrasound called transient elastography can show the amount of liver damage.

3) Dark Urine
4) Cancer or Scarring
5) Liver Failure
2) HEPATITIS C: is an infection caused by a virus that attacks the liver and leads to inflammation. This is the most common blood borne virus in the USA. It is considered to be the most serious of the hepatitis viruses. Once exposed, the majority of people (60-85%) go on to develop chronic hepatitis.
COMMON SIGNS ARE:
1) Yellowing of eye and skin
2) Loss of appetite
3) Fatigue
3) ALCOHOLIC HEPATITIS : This is a liver inflammation that is caused by drinking too much alcohol.
Alcoholic hepatitis usually develops over time with continued drinking. Severe alcoholic hepatitis can develop suddenly and quickly lead to liver failure and death.
when you have this type of hepatitis you most consider stopping alcohol completely.
COMMON SIGNS ARE:
1) Increasing stomach size
2) Yellowing of eye
It is said that some cases have no symptoms.
