MILK IS NOT JUST FOR DRINKING

What most people always forget that milk can be used for other things apart from consumptions or as a beverage.
    MILK contains carbohydrates, fat, vitamins A, D and B12 and a lot of minerals, organic compounds and antioxidants that are very good for the human body.

1) REMOVE BURNS

     Milk can help promote healing of minor burns and help you experience quick pain relief by applying a little to the affected area.
     Soak a cloth in whole milk and apply to the area for about 15 minutes and repeat for a few hours.

2) TAKE THE ITCH OUT OF INSECT BITES

    Milk can also ease the pain, itchiness and swelling of insect bites. Create a paste with milk, water and salt, then place on the bite.
    After a few minutes, the itching and redness will reduce.

3) SKIN MOISTURISER

    Try applying cold milk to hard , dry areas of your skin up to 3 times a day. Another way to moisturise the skin is to take a milk bath, add 2(two) cups of powdered milk to your bath water.
      You can also prepare powdered milk with water to make a thick paste. Apply the paste to your face and let it dry for about 30 minutes then rinse warm water.

4) POLISH SILVER

     You can clean tarnished sliver with sour milk. Mix a tablespoon or white vinegar with a cup of milk. Soak the silver in sour milk for about 30 minutes. After rinsing with warm water soapy water, then dry with a soft cloth.

5) REVIVE LEATHER

    To remove scuffs and to give shoes, belts and purses a fresh look, moisten a soft cloth with fresh milk and gently wipe the leather. Let the milk dry before buffing with a clean cloth.

6) REMOVE INK

     We have all experienced pen stains on our cloth at one point or another. The next time it happens, soak the garment overnight in milk.
     Add a squeeze or two of lemon juice for extra power.

7) TO TAKE OFF MAKEUP

     Milk can also be used to takeoff makeup. Dip a cotton ball in whole milk or powdered miles and gently use it to wipe your face. For a nice smell and antioxidants add a few drops of almond oil to the milk.

8) BOOST THE FLAVOUR OF CORN

     Do you want you corn to taste sweeter? Add some milk to the water before boiling the corn. When it's done you will notice a freshen and sweeter taste.

9) TREAT TONGUE BURN

     Have you just eaten some spicy food and its burning your tongue? Milk has the ability to dissolve capsaicin, the organic compound that makes foods spicy.
      Drink a glass of milk after eating such foods to alleviate the discomfort.

10) IMPROVE THE FLAVOR OF FISH

Defrost frozen fish in a bowl of milk to give the fish a smoother texture and richer flavor.
