THE DOG BREED WHICH IS ARGUABLY THE FASTEST IN THE WORLD

Cheetah is known as the fastest land animal but there some dog breeds which are almost as fast. Dogs are mostly kept for security, so having a fast dog can really help a lot. They can be used for chasing criminals and also be used for racing. There are many fast breeds of dog but the Dog breed which is arguably the fastest is the Greyhound.

The Greyhound is a mild-natured dog which is used for hunting and chasing down games. They are also used for racing for many years because of how fast they are. It seems the dog was designed by nature for racing. But due to alleged mistreatment of this dog breed, during the 20th century, the U.S and other countries banned the use of this breed for racing.

Greyhound is said to be able to travel a staggering 45mph or 72km/hr, which is why it's called the ‘Ferrari of dogs.’

Though Greyhound is arguably the fastest dog breed, there are some other breeds which is almost as fast. Saluki is regarded as the 2nd fastest dog, it's said to have close relations with Greyhound. Greyhound can live up to 13 years and when fully grown, can weigh up to 50kg and stand up to 2 feet tall.
